Regarding the above allocation chart, our funds were distributed slightly differently.

We were lucky enough to have a neighbor come and bale some of our fields to hay. While we saved that portion of the chart, there were some other modifications:

We bought more fencing than initially planned, $1,197.73 total (including energizer).

The goat cost was actually $2,100.

Supplemental mineral cost was only $65.

Overall, we were under budget at $3,482.73, and still have a surplus of $2,617.27 for 2026!

UPDATE FROM 2025 GRAZING GOAT FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN:

We suspended this campaign on Feb 10th, 2026. With the help of the community, we were able to surpass our funding goal for raising goats in 2025 by $1,726!

We (and the goats) are grateful. The surplus funds will be used for medicine, or barn upgrades in the 2026 season.
